In 2004, my parents Mitch and Anne Jones started Big Sky Orchards with the purchase of the South Shore Orchard in Polson, MT. Several years later, along with their children Maddy (me) and Zac, they grew the business with the purchase of the Blue Bay Orchard on the East Shore of Flathead Lake. Big Sky Orchards thrived as a summer business for us for years and we decided in 2015 as a family to take it one step further, so we purchased 80 acres of land in Bigfork, MT and built a 10 acre hop yard to kick off a new addition to our business!

Now, in 2024 we are helping to manage over 30 acres of cherries along the shores of Flathead Lake, growing and processing 10 acres of hops, as well as growing nearly 10 acres of Montana Heritage Macintosh Apples that we planted over the last four years. We LOVE Montana Ag!!
